　　People plant a great number of young trees in the mountains.

　　When the trees grow big and tall enough,they are cut down by workers and carried out of the mountains to the paper mill where fine paper is made from wood.Then it is taken to every corner of the country and used for different purposes.Some people use paper to copy writing,others use it to write something such as letters,reports and articles.

　　When paper turns out to be of no use,the waste paper is collected and retreated in the recycling factory before being put into use again.

　　One day Sun Wukong together with his master and brothers was walking across a river. Suddenly his master fell off the horse by the bad smell of river water. They found the water so dirty that they could hardly breathe.

　　A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straight into the river which made the river water polluted. In this way most of the fish in the river were killed. If the river water all over the country is polluted like this, no living things will exist in the water. Now more and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is. Our government is doing her best to take measures to fight against pollution. We expect that the water in every river will be made cleaner and cleaner before long.

　　My Views on Environmetal Protection

　　Nowadays, the world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Recently,haze weather has become a usual phenomenon here in large part of China. People are forced to wear the mask to avoid breathing poisonous air. Some people think it is impossible to solve the problem,however,from my opinion,if we find out the reason and take effective measures the environment can be better.

　　If we trace the cause for haze weather,the main points are as follows,first,our country's air quality standards are rather lax and evaluation factors are limited,so you will see that current air appraisal system has defects. Second,some people just go for economic interests instead of turning out products according to relevant law and regulations. They tend to use obsolete equipment in which they are more likely to emit a great deal of wasted air. Third,across our society,the awareness of protecting the environment has not built up so that people haven't formed a habit of using green product and saving energy as much as possible. If we don't take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

　　Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve the environment. In my opinion, to protect the environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. To sum up,if we work together to take out such measures,our environment will get better and better and haze weather will vanish completely.

　　This August I went to a two-week long English camp which was held by English Beacon in Yantai city, Shandong Province. There were over a hundred middle school students from all over the country and thirty experts in English teaching participating in this exciting camp. While we were there, it was required that we speak only English to our teachers and with each other. There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills, such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students, the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.

　　今年八月，我參加了由《英語輔導報》在山東煙臺舉辦的為期兩周的英語夏令營活動。來自全國各地的一百多名中學生和三十名英語教育專家參加了此次活動，在那兒我們只能用英語交流。此次夏令營舉辦了許多有趣且提高口語能力的活動，比如第二后全國中學生辯論賽，第三后全國中學生英語演講賽和英語晚會。我們還參觀了許多名勝。學英語很有趣，老師對我們也很和藹，給了我們許多幫助。這次夏令營真實的生活體驗令我永遠難忘。

　　This August, I took part in an English summer camp which was held in the city of Yantai, Shandong Province. Every member should communicate with each other in English. All of us were very happy and excited in the camp. In addition, many activities were held in the camp such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students and the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students. We visited many places of interest. But what impressed us most was the English party. Some were singing in English and others were dancing. We learnt a great deal, including how to study English, communicate with each other and help other people. I want to take part in it next year.

The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence.
