　　Directions: In this section, you are to write an essay of about 200 words within 40 minutes. Your essay should be based on the information given below.

　　Many people prefer to travel by air. This is because air travel has some advantages. In the first place, airplane, the miracle created by man, is the fastest means of transport. It takes the least time for one to travel by air from one place to another. Secondly, traveling by air is convenient and comfortable. Friendly air hostesses are affectionate and considerate. They look after passengers all the way to their destinations. Moreover, on long distance flights there are films and music for people to entertain themselves.

　　As a popular saying goes, “Everything has two sides.” The same is true of air travel. It has some disadvantages, too. For one thing, air travel costs a great deal. The average Chinese are not rich enough to afford expensive air fares. So they prefer to take trains, which save a lot of money. For another, although passengers are assured of their safety, they are still worried about it during the journey because flying always involves more or less risk.

　　As far as I am concerned, the advantages mentioned above exceed the disadvantages. If I were given choice between traveling by air and traveling by train, I would certainly prefer the former. For me, time is money and it is the most important thing I have to take into consideration whatever I do.

　　This month, I will travel to Changsha and Zhangjiajie with my two friends, which is supposed to be a seven-day trip. We will set out on 10th, June. Now, we have prepared many things, snacks and medicines included. Firstly, we will go to Changsha by plane. The tickets are cheap, so it s a good choice to save time. We will stay there for two days. The main goal staying there is to enjoy the delicious food in Changsha. My friend has prepared a map of must-tries and I believe they must be good. Then we will go to Zhangjiajie by train. It s not so far from Changsha, taking about five hours to get there. Zhangjiajie is famous for its wonderful mountains. The sceneries there are amazing that no one should miss. But we will have a tough journey for climbing high mountains, which is not easy for us all. This is why we will stay there for longer. In the end, we will go home by train. This is my plan for the journey. I am sure it will be a wonderful and fruitful journey.

　　這個月，我要和我的兩個朋友一起去長沙和張家界旅行，為期7天左右。我們會在6月10日出發。現在，我們已經準備了許多東西，包括零食和藥品。首先，我們會坐飛機去長沙，機票很便宜，所以這是節約在路上時間的好選擇。我們會在長沙待兩天，主要目的是品嘗長沙美食。我的`朋友準備了長沙美食地圖，我想那必定很誘人。接著，我們會坐火車前往張家界。張家界離長沙不太遠，只需5個小時的車程。張家界以奇山聞名，風景十分壯美，我想沒人會想錯過這樣的美景的。但是由于要爬山，所以在張家界的旅行不會太輕松，這也是我們要在張家界待久一些的原因。最后，我們會坐火車回家。這就是我這次旅行的計劃，我確信這會是一個美妙而又充實的旅程。

He couldn’t get along well with English and disliked joining in English classes because he thought his teacher ignored him on purpose. As a result, his score in each exam never added up to over 60.

　　His partner was concerned about him very much. She understood exactly what he was suffering from, but entirely disagreed with his idea. In order to calm him down and settle his problem, she talked with him face to face and swapped a series of learning tips with him. The items she set down helped him find the highway to studying English well.
