If you want to do business with foreigners, you have to learn English , because most of them speak and write in English . English is one of the working languages at international conferences. Today many great reports, papers, and books are written in English ,so if you want to read them, you must know English well. If you know English ,you can also understand people from other countries better and contribute more effectively to world peace.

一天夜晚，燈光下媽媽在家里邊做玩具，邊看著新聞。我在書房里看書。突然，媽媽叫著：“穎兒，快來看！這新聞上的工人在和外國人說著什么？”我跑出來一看，只見電視上正在播放著一群外國人在參觀一個玩具公司，一個外國人正在和一位工人用英語在交談著的新聞。
“媽媽，我剛開始學(xué)的也聽不明白，不過播音員不是解釋著嗎？”我搖搖頭說。
“快看，這工人最后說的Goodbye（再見）是什么意思？”
“那是再見的意思。您不也初中畢業(yè)嗎？您怎么聽不懂英語呢？”
“哎，別提了，那時我學(xué)習(xí)很不認(rèn)真，成天只知道玩，現(xiàn)在后悔也來不及了。”媽媽深情地望了望我，“穎兒，你一定要好好學(xué)習(xí)呀，不能像媽媽這樣一無所長呀。”
媽媽望了望電視，自言自語地說：“唉，要是我也會說英語那該多好啊！……”
我安慰道：“媽，沒關(guān)系的.。不如我來教你學(xué)英語吧，怎么樣？等奧運會辦完后許多外國人肯定會到胡適故居來參觀的，說不定還會到您的工廠去玩呢！”
“真的嗎？那好哇，我就跟你學(xué)英語，說不上我將來也能跟外國人聊上幾句。”媽媽高興地說。
從那天起，每天晚上，你只要經(jīng)過我的家門口，那你一定會經(jīng)常聽到一個小女孩在讀著英語：Whattimeisit？（幾點了），It’seighto’clock.（八點了）。還有一個婦女也跟著讀，這就是我和我的媽媽在讀英語。

“green，red，blue……”
“green，red，blue……”
聽，這是我在執(zhí)行媽媽下達(dá)的任務(wù)了，你還別說，妹妹跟讀的還挺認(rèn)真，發(fā)音也基本正確。小樣，還是很聰明的嗎？說上課聽不懂老師教的，我真有點懷疑是不是你沒聽課，我心想著翻了妹妹一個白眼，“跟讀的還不錯，現(xiàn)在你自己讀一下吧。”
“green”我給妹妹起了個頭，可妹妹也只讀了一個“green”便卡住了，無奈，我提醒了一下，可妹妹也只能讀出我剛剛提醒的，算了，我再教幾遍吧。
可是，我連教了幾遍后，妹妹還是讀了前面忘了后面，讀了后面忘了前面。我這下有點著急了，一下子有了想兇妹妹的'沖動，可看到她那無奈的眼神，我沒吭聲，卻撂下了書本，直接來到媽媽身邊，“妹妹太難教了，我都教了好幾遍了，她老是學(xué)不會，我不教她了。”
“呵呵！媽媽在房間里都聽到了，小老師當(dāng)?shù)貌诲e，不過，你想想，妹妹這學(xué)期剛剛接觸英語，肯定還沒適應(yīng)，等適應(yīng)了她學(xué)的肯定會像語文、數(shù)學(xué)一樣棒的，小老師要有耐心哦！”媽媽摸著我的頭說道。
是啊！妹妹剛接觸英語，當(dāng)然學(xué)得要慢些，可我剛教了幾遍就想發(fā)火了。想想我們的老師，上課有時一個知識點要講好幾遍，但到下課時，有不懂的同學(xué)去問時，老師依舊不厭其煩地為我們講解分析，直到我們徹底弄明白為止，絲毫沒有半點的不情愿。想到這里，我又拿起了課本，認(rèn)真的當(dāng)起了妹妹的小老師。
以前，我們只知道敬佩老師的知識豐富、博學(xué)多才，但今天我深切地感受到了老師的這份耐心更令我敬佩。

Currently, many problems concerning the safety of food have popped up. As for me, I believe at least three factors account for this issue.
First, I observe that profits drive many food producers to commit illegal things. They aim to gain more money at the expense of consumers health. Second, the overuse of agricultural pesticide has resulted in the degradation of food quality. The excessive pesticide bears enormous health hazard for people. Furthermore, some food producers inject hormones into domestic animals so as to make them grow more quickly and thus they can turn in more profit. As a result, peoples health has been seriously disturbed.
All in all, food safety is such a great concern, and we all should do establish laws and implement them effectively to avoid producing toxic foods.
