from his letter li nan knew that he had some trouble in the grammar. it is difficult for a foreigner to learn chinese as it is difficult for chinese students to study english well. he needs li nan's help.
li nan hopes he can come to china soon. then he can help mike learn chinese and mike can help him with his english.
