　　The phenomenon of keeping pets is nothing strange nowadays. And when it comes tothe topic if it’s good for people to keep pets, people have different kinds of opinions.

　　現在，養寵物已經是一種很常見的現象了。但是談到養寵物到底好不好的問題時，人們又有不同的觀點。

　　Some people assume that it’s good to keep pets in the house, especially for theolds. The pets can keep them company as well as make them feel safe. As for kids, keeping pets around them makes them more caring and more compassionate which is quite a good way for young parents to educate their children. Moreover, pets can also look after the house and when there’s no one at home.

　　有的人認為在家養寵物是好的，特別是老人來說。寵物能陪伴他們，也能給他們帶來安全感。對于小孩來說，養寵物能使他們更有同情心，這是父母教育孩子的一種很好的方式。再者，當家里沒人時，寵物也能看家護院。

　　However,others argue that keeping pets is not good. In, their opinion, keeping pets is not healthy since pets may have some viruses with them which you don’t even know. What’s more, pets’ defecating indiscriminately makes cities dirty. Caring the pets with you when taking public transport like buses is not so convenient,because other people might have a pet allergy.

　　As far as I am concerned, it depends on the situation if it’s good to keep a pet ornot. But, no matter what, if one keeps pets, he or she should treat them in the right way. For instance, washing pets regularly to keep them clean, and it’s better don’t carry a pet with you when taking public transport.
