Step2:Presentation for watching(5 minutes)

Give the Ss a few minutes to watch the video with their books closed. After that, get the Ss to answer the questions on WB Page 73 in pairs, trying to encourage them to get as many answers as they can voluntarily. Then check the answers with the whole class.

Aims and requirements :

1. Train the ability of reading and the ability of comprehension .

2. Explain some difficult points.

3. Let the Ss know sth. about the famous person.

Step 1. Revision :

Check the homework exercises.

Brainstorm Disneyland:

What can you see at Disneyland?

What can you do there?

Would you like to go there ?

Step 2. Preparation for reading :

Let the Ss read the title and the first sentence of each paragraph . Get them to say

Today we are going to read about Walt Disney, a great artist, who made lots of films. Read the passage quickly and find out : How did he get the idea for his first cartoon character?
