名詞作狀語的用法歸納
1. 表示時間的名詞前面有one, some, the, this, that, last, next, every, all 等詞修飾時。
Many common injuries happen every day in the home.
每天家里會發生一些常見的外傷事故。
Which subject is he going to study this term?
這學期他將學什么課程？
2. 表示時間的名詞修飾其后的 ago, since, before, after, week, month等詞時。
I saw him two weeks ago.
我在兩周前見過他。
Many years later, he became a millionaire.
很多年過去了，他成了百萬富翁
3. 名詞或名詞詞組前的during或 for省略之后，名詞就直接作了狀語。
Could you wait (for) a few days for the money?
這錢，你們可以等幾天嗎？
Nothing happened (during) the whole vacation.
整個假期，什么事也沒發生。
4. 表示數量的名詞，放在long, broad, wide, high, tall, deep, strong, thick, old等形容詞之前，作狀語。
The bridge is 3000 metres long.
這座橋有3000米長。
He is thirty years old.
他三十歲了
5. 表示次數、距離、方向、 程度、價值、狀態的名詞作狀語。
Take this medicine three times a day.
這種藥一天服用三次。
Come this way, please.
請這邊走。
6. 比較級前的名詞也是直接作狀語。
I got up an hour earlier than usual.
我今早上比平時早起了一個小時。
形容詞作狀語
形容詞作狀語，形容詞或形容詞短語作狀語，通常說明主語行為的原因、方式、伴隨狀況。
1.原因 Cusious, she looked around for other guests.
2. 時間 Alone, she would cry.
3. 方式 Ripe, the oranges taste sweet./ Breathless, she ran into the gate.
形容詞作狀語，通常說明主語的情況。
Brave and strong, the activists talked to workers outside the factory.
但有時也可能是說明賓語的情況。
He pushed the door open.
He writes the characters large.
分詞作狀語
1. 和主語之間的關系 Taking a deep breath, he dived into the water.
2. 否定形式 Not promoted, Yang Chenggang decided to sigh for another company.
3. 時態 Having lost her job, she had to look for another one.
復合結構作狀語(absolute construction –獨立結構& with)
1. Weather permitting, we’ll go for a picnic next week. (ing)
2. He lay on his back, his hands crossed under his head. (ed)
3. He entered the room, his nose red. (adj.)
4. The thief was caught red-handed, the woman’s wallet in his pocket.(prep)
5. He hurried into the hospital, with a sick boy in his arm.(with)
狀語從句
as
1. as 引導時間狀語從句， 持續性動作，強調主句和從句的動作同時發生。
He was looking behind as he went. (兩個短動作同時發生。)
As/When/While he was walking down the street, I noticed a strange car ahead.(一長一短)
As I grow older, the tree grow taller. (兩種都在變化。)
2. as 引導原因狀語從句， 常放在句首。
As he himself was a stranger here, he asked the woman to ask a policeman.
3. as 引導方式狀語從句，按照， 正如
Do as I told you.
4. as 引導讓步狀語從句，倒裝。
Child as he was, he swam acrossed the QiongZhou Channel.
Every time, the first time, next time, the moment ,
Every time I failed, my mother gave me great encouragement.
