Madame Curie will always be remembered as the discover of radium. 居里夫人這位鐳元素的發現者，將永遠為人民所懷念。 remember doing sth. 記得做過某事；remember to do sth. 記著去干某事；remember sb. as… 把某人當著……來懷念；remember sb. to sb. else 請代向某人問好；e.g. I remember seeing her somewhere. 我記得在什么地方見過她。Remember to turn off the lights before you leave the room. 離開房間時請記住關燈。Please remember me to your parents. 請代我向你的父母親問好。
2. She succeeded in taking a first-class degree in physics…. ……她成功地取得了一級物理學位。1). first-class = the first-rate 一級；第一流的；the tenth-rate最差的；succeed in (doing) sth. = be successful in (doing) sth. 成功地干某事；e.g. China has succeeded in applying for the Olympics of 2008. 中國已經成功地申辦了2008年奧運會。 He succeeds both in his work and in his life. 他在事業和生活上都取得了成功。succeed vi. e.g. He is the type of person who succeeds everywhere. 他是那種到處都能吃得開的人。success n. 成功；e.g. Failure is the mother of success. 失敗乃成功之母。

e.g. Asia is four times as large as Europe. == Asia is three times larger than
Europe. == Asia is four times the size of Europe. 亞洲是歐洲的四倍大。
其他的表達法：e.g. This street is twice the length of that one. 這條街是那條街的兩倍長。This pencil is a quarter as long as that one. 這枝鉛筆是那枝鉛筆的四分之一長。Our room is 60% the size of theirs. 我們的房間是他們的房間的60%大。
