More than ninety responsible and caring citizens made their voices heard today. The citizens, all of whom love nature and our planet, demonstrated outside the cityˇs worst polluter. Writing

Write a paragraph in which you compare two kinds of media, for example websites and newspapers.

When you write your paragraph, you should explain how the two media are similar to or different from each other. By writing about the similarities and differences, you will make it easier for the reader to understand the things you are writing about.

Before you write, think about the media you are going to compare. What characteristics or features are the most important? What differences or similarities will help the reader understand the media you are comparing? What can be learnt from the comparison?

The following information may help you write your paragraph.

Writing about similarities

冘 A website is similar to a newspaper

冘 Both newspapers and websites make money by selling ads.

冘 Websites also have different pages.

冘 Websites have headlines and pictures, too Writing about differences

冘 Websites, on the other hand, change all the time.

冘 However, not all websites are updated every day.

冘 Newspapers are written by reporter, but websites can be written by anyone.

冘 While many websites are free, most newspapers cost money.
