三者都表示選擇挑選，有時(shí)可以通用。句型choose/select/pick out sth. from…“從眾多…中挑選出來”，但在含義上三著有時(shí)還有區(qū)別：
1） choose 通常是指在所提供的對象中，憑個(gè)人的意志和判斷力進(jìn)行選擇，往往以個(gè)人好惡或是否合適為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，因此在表示選擇事業(yè)，選擇愛人時(shí)，不宜用select和pick out
2） select 指有目的的仔細(xì)認(rèn)真的選擇，有精選的含義。
3） pick out 為一般用語，指按個(gè)人喜好和希望進(jìn)行挑選，即可以是挑選好的事物，也可以是壞的事物，多用于有形東西（人或物）。它還有“辨認(rèn)出，區(qū)分出”的意思。
