　　來到白云山腳下，大家首先看到的是芬芳滿園的云臺花園，里面有許多奇花異草。最神奇的是花園的中央有一個巨大的花鐘，這個花鐘是由12種不同時間開放的花組成的，每到一個時刻，就會有一種花開放，告訴你現在是幾點鐘。

　　沿著林蔭大道，來到白云山腰，眼前看到的是散落在湖光山色和峰巒疊翠間的能仁寺、黃婆洞水庫等景點。關于黃婆洞水庫，還有一個美麗的傳說。元代女紡織家黃道婆小時候家里貧窮，便到海南學習紡織技術。轉眼間，幾十年過去了，黃道婆由少女變成了白發蒼蒼的老太婆，特別思念家鄉，就踏上回鄉之路。路上經過廣州白云山，看到人們生活貧困落后，就留下來向大家傳授紡織技術。后來，為了紀念黃道婆，人們就將黃道婆住過的地方稱為黃婆洞。

　　沿著蜿蜒盤旋的`山道向上，我們來到了景色迷人的白云山頂。這里比較著名的景點有鳴春谷、摩星嶺、九龍泉等。鳴春谷在山頂中央，是我國目前最大的一座天然鳥籠。它座落在白云山風景區的天南第一峰與九龍泉之間的滴水巖谷地上，占地約五萬平方米，分天然式大型鳥籠景區、鳴禽掛廊區、珍稀鳥區三部分。這里的鳥兒特別多，不僅數量多，而且品種豐富。它們鳴聲清脆，那婉轉的歌聲在山谷間回蕩，讓人聽了心曠神怡，連滿身的疲倦和煩惱都煙消云散了。在鳴春谷大門入口處一側還可看到極富情趣的“馴鳥表演”，有小鳥騎車、小鳥升旗、小鳥尋寶等等，特別有趣。摩星嶺是白云山的最高峰，海拔382米，登高遠眺，可以看到廣州市的全景。

　　白云山為南粵名山，自古就有“羊城第一秀”之稱。它聚攏著三十多個山峰，山體相當寬闊，總面積20.98平方公里。每當霏雨綿綿，云霧繚繞于黛山蔥綠間，半壁皆素，故名白云山。
